HELLO VOTERS

Wellcome to Tønder Kommune – and wellcome to Venstre, Denmark’s liberal party.

On November 18th Denmark is having both local and regional elections.

If you are eligible to vote you will automatically receive a voting card from Tønder Kommune.

Venstres local candidate for the position as mayor is Mr Martin Iversen. He is currently the first deputy mayor in Tønder Kommune.

Freedom is the clarion call of liberalism. We believe in your right to shape your own life, open a business and being able to choose freely among public and private services when it comes to schools, help in the home or other needs.

• As a rural kommune Venstre in Tønder aims to keep schools open in our smaller communities.
• We have made it a point to invest in our children: better facilities in primary schools and a higher level of education.
• We support sports and activities for citizens whether young or old.
• In an attempt to battle loneliness we are investing in social activities for the elderly.
• We support a free and flexible local labour market giving you opportunities.
• Regionally we strive to secure adequate health services: access to local GP’s, highly specialized hospitals and a local hospice. Venstres local regional candidate is Ms Mette Bossen Linnet.
• Venstres youth organization (VU) is vibrant and focuses on education, housing and activities for the young. Venstres two VU-candidates are Ms Neel Rudebeck and Ms Astrid Ørting Jørgensen.
